COACHED TRACK WORKOUTS JUNE 29 - OCT 7
PMC Coaching is for all marathoners, both first timers and those of you wanting to improve your time. The $125 marathon clinic package includes the Saturday long run, a midweek coached run or track session, the new edition of "Marathoning Start to Finish", a personalized online training schedule and log and a micro fiber Portland Marathon Training Clinic shirt. The runs on June 29 will start at Gabriel Park. http://www.teamoregon.com/maps/index.php?id=10724. The following weekly runs will be at Duniway park. Runs will include fartlek, hill runs and track workouts to prepare runners to run or race the marathon. All clinic participants can learn all about marathoning through the on demand video webcasts. Topics include training plans, nutrition, physiology, psychology, flexibility/strength and speedwork. Those registered for the coaching have access to the coaches at the weekend runs and at the track to answer all your questions. You can register online at http://www.teamoregon.com/pmc
TRAINING RUN JULY 1 8:00 AM
The 14 or 16 mile training runs at 8 am this Saturday start at Road Runner Sports 23rd, 29 NW 23rd, Portland. For driving directions see: http://www.teamoregon.com/pmc/training/runs/rrs23dir.htm. Parking in Uptown center lot 2 hours only, tickets will be given. Please find a 4 hour meter on the street or use the pay lot on 23rd & Glisan. The course will use the east side of the river route http://www.teamoregon.com/maps/index.php?id=1633 There will be 2 aid stations for out and back supplied by Roadrunner Sports. Carrying water or sports drink is recommended. Please no headphones, dogs or baby joggers
TRAINING RUN JULY 8 8:00 AM
This 14, 16 or 18 mile run will be April 29 at 8 am at Athleta Brewery Blocks, Portland For directions to the start see http://teamoregon.com/maps/index.php?id=10742 . The doors will be open at 7:30 am. This weeks run will be the first 7 -9 miles of http://www.teamoregon.com/maps/index.php?id=10746 .There will be 2 aid stations for out and back supplied by Athleta. Please carry water for the best hydration. Please leave your headphones, dogs and baby joggers at home

If you have raced, go to http://www.teamoregon.com/publication/online/wiz.html and get your marathon goal based on your race times. Groups are led by volunteer experienced marathoners. Groups range from those able to run a marathon under 3 hours to those wanting to run 5 hours.
AID STATIONS!! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED JULY 29, AUG 12, SEP 9
If you are joining the free runs, you are obligated to volunteer for one aid station during the summer. You have 3 chances left to fulfill this obligation for free runs. Before your turn, we call or email and remind you and tell you where and when to arrive. When you show up, we give you jugs of water, already diluted sports drink, cups, pitchers, garbage bags and first aid supplies. Some volunteers have been known to provide special treats such as jelly beans, gummy bears or tootsie rolls. You can ask your family to help as well. If you've never been a volunteer, this is your opportunity to help your fellow marathoners.
