PORTLAND MARATHON TRAINING CLINIC THANKS
Training Clinic coaches talked to many of you in the finish line tent and loved hearing your great marathon stories. Visit our facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/marathonclinic to view our pictures from the finish line tent. We know most of you enjoyed great success. We'd like to thank our great volunteer group leaders, many of whom had wonderful marathons with a number of personal bests.
Our main thanks go to the Portland Marathon for all its support for the clinic and the free training runs. The free training runs are a big focus of the Marathon community Spirit. Thanks to Road Runner Sports Tualatin and NW 23rd, Mountain Hardwear , Club Sport and Lucy Bridgeport for hosting long runs, supplying aid stations on those runs and having post run refreshments. To all of you who volunteered to help at our aid stations, we commend your spirit and help Thanks to Coach Diane Lechner who corodinated most runs and for her useful tips every weekend. Thanks to Coach DeeAnn Dougherty for her help in keeping runners healthy. Thanks to Coaches Warren & Patti Finke for marking courses, sending out the pace groups, and taking lots of pictures to add to the Facebook page. Thanks to all of you who followed the safety rules and enjoyed the company of other runners in your quest for marathon success. We hope to see all of you marathon runners back next spring for the free training runs.
